Summer 2006 | Orchard School Ampitheater & Greenhouse Phase

The master plan for Orchard School includes a multi-phased renovation and addition to the existing building. The interior renovation will consist of rearranging grades to accommodate a more complete science curriculum. To also expand the science curriculum a Science Center, a Greenhouse and corresponding classroom, and an outdoor classroom will be added to the Orchard complex.

The Science Center will break away from the orthagonal features of the existing building. The main architectural features are the canopy, which is designed to replicate a DNA strand, and a skylight, designed to replicate the atom molecule.
