Work Release Center (Before)

The Indianapolis Marion County Building Authority hired Halstead Architects to provide complete architectural services for renovating the existing ATCO / Master-Fit warehouse facility along I-70 into a new minimum security work release center for inmates.

The existing building was wide open inside and required a new plan layout, expanded mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems and many updates. We collaborated with Design-Aire Engineering to provide the Building Authority with an extensive energy analysis to maximize the efficiency and minimize the long term cost of the building systems. In addition to the energy analysis, Design-Aire Engineering provided full service mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services, while Silver Creek Engineering provided structural design services for the new 5,000 s.f. mezzanine floor level addition.
