Concrete masonry coated with highly
resilient epoxy paint was used in the toilet rooms, showers & locker
room (above), in addition to a trowel-applied epoxy floor system.
The entire floor slab had to be removed to incorporate trench drainage
and slope to the floors in the shower rooms.
The main corridor (below) has
epoxy floors, concrete masonry three-courses high and FiberRock Very
High Impact (VHI) impact-resistant gypsum board to result in a very
strong, easily maintanable and long-lasting interior finish system.




Day rooms (above) are 90 + occupancy offender
sleeping and living spaces. They feature indirect day-lighting, resilient
concrete floors and a floor drain to allow for easy cleaning. Bunks
and tables will be movable to allow for multiple configurations, and
lockers are provided for offender belongings. All furnishings and lockers
are being procured from PEN
Products (Prison Enterprise Network).
Access in and out of the facility is
monitored 24-7 by secure offender entrances (below) and offender
visitation is hosted in a controlled environment. In addition to housing,
offenders have access to classrooms, a commissary, a multi-purpose room
and medical facilities.





The main visitor entrance (above)
to the facility is secure and provides ADA access. The entrance lobby
accomodates the need for additional space for families, and is separate
from the offender entrance.
In addition to expansion space, offices
are provided for many of community corrections existing staff. Other
features include a large conference room, staff toilets and a staff
lounge (below).
