Indianapolis Sustainability 'Water Category' Award

The Southwest Health Center was awarded a Sustain Indy Indianapolis Sustainability "Water Catgory" Award on March 24, 2011. Presented by green living expert Sara Snow and Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, the award highlights the water conservation features of the Health Center, completed in late 2010. The main features include a live, green roof, a live wall retaining wall, planted with sedum, native, low maintenance site landscaping, a permeable pavement parking lot, reduced storm water run-off, and low flow, water-conserving plumbing fixtures.
