The ground breaking for the new Claus' German Sausage & Meats was finally celebrated on a warm, august morning with a strong contingent of neighbors and supporting cast to the construction project.

Representatives of Southeast Neighborhood Development (SEND), the Local Initiatives Support Coalition (LISC), the City of Indianapolis, National City Bank, and the local neighborhood stood proudly as Mayor Bart Peterson (right) personally welcomed the addition of Claus' new business to the community.

Members of the design team, partnerships and community were present at the event to ceremoniously turn the soil with silver-lined shovels (below).
