A 21,000 square foot addition of classroom and office space along with a 37,000 square foot recreational facility and commercial kitchen allows the Citizen Multi-Service Center to partner with multiple community-based organizations to provide a diverse pallette of services to the surrounding community.

This proposed addition (Show below) has been designed to include a public library, cafeteria, studio classrooms, vocational education facilities, as well as a full service gymnasium and swimming pool.

The diamond facade patterns of the new addition are inspired by African textiles called 'Kubas.' Kubas are embroidered raffia cloths made by the Kuba people of the Congo.

Preliminary Addition Design

Completed work to date includes a phased renovation of the interior of both buildings and window restoration of the old school (Shown below).
